Kids with special needs or genetic disabilities.


What is the transformation sought? (Objective)

By engaging with our curriculum these kids with go through an experience consisting of provide a supportive and inclusive environment that will transform them to feel more comfortable and confident in the real world and make connections with peers. 


What do they want from you?

They would want a curriculum that would give them an inclusive community, find a new way to express themselves, and learn.  


Verbal to visual classroom: 

tricky to define who you are making the course for but you can devide it from learners and makers. When building your curriculum you can send out a servey on what people wanted to learn, why they were interested, etc. This allowed him to better create an experience that was able to meet these people's needs. 



2 main objectives: gather what they want to learn from you and the best way that they learn. Then teach them the best solutions to the way in which they learn. If its note taking, teach them the best way to do note taking. Set them up with success.

 1. Brain Break: Giving them time to dance on their own and sit if they want to sit. Time for no instuction and they get overwhelmed easily so its a time to relax and chill.  2. Teaching philosophy statement

  As a teacher I am dedicated to forming an inclusive and creative educational safe space for students to make close relationships. This will allow them to feel comfortable and reach their full potential by experimenting in the arts without fear of failure or judgement. In doing so, I share my enthusiasm for dance and pass this on to them, encouraging them to participate in lifelong learning beyond the walls of the classroom.
