COMPONENT: Movement Skills and Underlying Principles OBJECTIVE: Demonstrates repetition or making patterns of movement. 4. Standard (Competency): Students can respond to rhythmic patterns through appropriate movements. 5. Plan (Activity): Introduction: Today’s class is holiday themed, so each student will say their name and favorite holiday to begin the class on a fun note and create a sense of community. Warm Up: (5 minutes) Students will follow the teacher for a guided stretch. Stretching must be done properly and effectively to ensure students do not get injured while dancing in class.
